Evidence-Based Practicum program for MAPPCP Graduates

Program Details

Overview

The Evidence-Based Practicum Fast-Track 6-month program is specifically for MAPPCP graduates from the University of East London to enable them to:

  1. Consolidate and seamlessly integrate their advanced academic studies in positive psychology and coaching psychology with the practical Applied Positive Psychology Coaching (APPC) approach into their coaching practice.

  2. Receive a practitioner-based diploma and designation, accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF), and

  3. Develop and/or expand their coaching skills, business and career.

Students will participate in live online practicum classes (maximum 8 per group) to enhance their growth, coaching skills and practice. They will receive ongoing peer and supervision support from ICF mentor coaches and British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Coaching Psychologists to help them determine their own evidence-based PPC coaching style as they develop their coaching business and career. Students will undertake 12 hours of practice sessions and supervision of their own cases using (APPC) approach to guide their development and skills to increase their confidence and competence. They will also have an opportunity to reflect on, and adjust their own evidence-based coaching practice, niche and business to aid their learning.

Expected Outcomes

  1. Achieve a Diploma and designation as a Certified Applied Positive Psychology Coach™ (CAPPC) with accreditation by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for 66 hours.

  2. Become an evidence-based expert in Applied Positive Psychology Coaching with the ability to translate theory into practice seamlessly within coaching sessions.

    Note: students will receive all IPPC digital foundational courses (modules outlined in the table below) from certificate level as a bonus. These modules must be completed to obtain the practitioner-based ICF Diploma

  3. Develop, build or expand their coaching practice and business.

ASSESSMENT

Students will undertake a capstone project detailing a case study from their own coaching practice using applied positive psychology coaching approach, the results, their experience, and their reflections.
