Somatic work is working with the body. The body of our experience is unconscious, so how do we work on a conscious level with clients from an unconscious somatic perspective?
So much of what enables us to achieve our goals or what acts as an obstacle to us achieving our goals is outside of our awareness. Working somatically can help us and our clients to be more aware of our unconscious strengths and resources that are used by the body either negatively or positively.
Somatic coaching is much more than the conscious analysis of body language, gesture and tone of voice. All of these are important considerations however, somatic work invites you and your client into a kinesthetic experience before words, before goals and beyond obstacles.
This workshop – which is part of The Enrichment Series – is for coaches, practitioners and professionals without a coaching background who are interested in personal and professional development, and exposure to Positive Psychology, Positive Psychology Coaching, Evidence-Based Coaching, and beyond.
During the workshop, you complete the following learning objectives.

Alongside her private practice ‘justruthcoaching’, Ruth is an Associate Coach for ‘NEO Leaders’ and ‘The Art of Perception’ and delivers bespoke workshops to champion ‘wellbeing at work’ and ‘working together’ within organisations.

After a fulfilling career in education, training and sales in France and the UK, Ruth gained an MSc distinction at the University of East London to achieve her goal of becoming an EMCC accredited Coach.
Ruth loves exploring ideas with others and dreams of creating her very own philosopher’s café!
