Over the past years, there has been a rise in the exploration of arts-based approaches within the field of coaching and coaching psychology, attracting the attention of a gradually increasing number of researchers and practitioners. This burgeoning field, which we have named arts-based coaching, draws from a rich tapestry of disciplines, including art therapy, therapeutic arts, and arts in psychotherapy.
Grounded in the evidence of creative expression as a potent catalyst for personal growth and transformation, arts-based coaching pioneers, many invited to contribute to the book Arts-Based Coaching: Using Creative Tools to Promote Better Self-Expression, harness the power of various arts modalities, including music, visual arts, poetry, photography, or dance.
The courageous exploration of unconventional approaches and techniques enriches the coaching experience and pushes the boundaries of traditional coaching paradigms, inspiring other coaches to evolve and continually adapt their practices.
This workshop – which is part of The Enrichment Series – is for coaches, practitioners and professionals without a coaching background who are interested in personal and professional development, and exposure to Positive Psychology, Positive Psychology Coaching, Evidence-Based Coaching, and beyond.
This live interactive workshop offers the following learning objectives:
Understand how arts-based practices, such as music, architecture, or photography, can be used in coaching.
Experiment with some practical strategies incorporating creative tools in coaching conversations.
Consider the foundational ethical principles and best practices for integrating arts-based tools into coaching, ensuring client safety and respect.
